Safer scheduled summaries and credit refunds
Scheduled summaries re-check who can read their sources and where results are delivered. Manual previews follow your own access. Refunded purchases also remove unused promotional credits.
Uptime history now reaches back to July
The status page now keeps the independent health checks that were already running from five regions. Each one verifies both Discord and the database, so the uptime history begins when external monitoring began instead of when the public page launched.
Live status and uptime history
trysummarybot.com/status now shows whether Summary Bot is answering, its measured uptime, Discord latency, restart history, and the scale it is carrying. Missing samples count as downtime, so the bot cannot hide an outage by being offline when it happens.
No more buttons that just say “This interaction failed”
Buttons expire after a while. They used to stay lit, so clicking one got Discord's own error with nothing in it. They now grey out when they expire — except Join community server, which never stops working. If a scheduled or live summary stops,

If a question runs long, runs out of credits, or the model has a bad minute, I now answer with what I found and say what I didn't get to — with the message links — instead of stopping on an error. When I can't answer at all, the reason names the one thing to change.
One credit limit per conversation, and you can watch it
An @mention used to ask for approval on each expensive step, which meant several cheaper steps added up quietly. A conversation now has one 3,000-credit limit, the running total is visible while I work, and I ask once — with what I've found so far still yours if you say no.
Paste me a link, ask what's pinned, or ask how busy it's been
Three things I couldn't do before. Paste a Discord message link and I'll read it with the conversation around it, ask what a channel has pinned, or ask how much a channel or the server has been talking — who posts most, which days — which counts messages instead of reading them, so it costs a fraction of a summary.
More room to try it before you decide
On a server with no subscription, one member can now spend 500 credits a day instead of 200 — around five catch-ups, so the first person to try the bot isn't stopped halfway through an evening. The 2,000 credits every server starts with are unchanged.

Help and the welcome DM still quoted an older trial size, and the free read limit was listed higher than the plan allows. Both now follow the live numbers. Servers that still held a year-old imported API key — with no admin who set it — are back on the credit balance, so a dead key no longer blocks a request that credits could pay for.

Community giveaways can now hand out credits or a bonus on your next top-up, claimed with a button and applied to whichever server you choose.

A server without a subscription drew on the shared free-plan safety pool even when it was spending credits it had bought. Those credits now fund their own work outright, so a busy afternoon elsewhere can't pause your server.

A clock time later in the day than the moment you asked could resolve weeks forward, so the summary covered nothing and said you were caught up. It now means today, or yesterday if it hasn’t happened yet.

Run /update in any server the bot is in and you get this list, with timestamps in your own timezone. Nothing here is announced only on the website.
