1. In your server, use /usage to choose a subscription if needed.
2. Use /settings to set your timezone; otherwise the hour is UTC.
3. Type /schedule add and choose these fields in Discord:
   every: Every day
   at: 09:00
   deliver: To my DMs — private, just for me
   source: Choose the channel to summarize, or use the current channel
   tier: Fast
4. Review the per-run credit cap. If Discord asks, confirm the larger cap.
5. Use /schedule run and select your schedule to preview it privately.
Use /schedule list to inspect it, or /schedule off to stop it.

Fast starts at 100 credits for a nonempty run. The default cap is 3,000 credits per run. Larger caps require confirmation in Discord. A larger recap keeps the newest history that fits; quiet periods spend nothing. These features fit the plan above, but your message volume determines how long its credits last. Run /recommend in your server to check capacity.

  1. Try one catch-up

    Add Summary Bot, open your source channel, and run /catchup. Check the topics and their source links. This uses the server’s free credits.

  2. Choose a plan in Discord

    Run /usage in your server and choose a plan using the purchase buttons in Discord. Starter includes one channel schedule; Pro adds server-wide recaps and up to 5 schedules. Subscriptions are per server.

  3. Set your timezone, then the schedule

    Run /settings and choose your timezone first. Enter /schedule add using the options above. Choose the source explicitly if you are setting it up from a different channel.

  4. Preview the recap

    Use /schedule list to inspect the destination and timing, then /schedule run to preview the summary privately. Test runs spend credits; they do not post to the destination. /schedule off stops a schedule.

One subscription covers the server.

Scheduling is a paid feature. Credits are shared with manual summaries and other activity, so choose for the amount you read as well as the number of schedules.

Can I post a daily summary for everyone?

Yes. Choose channel delivery and a destination. You need Manage Server, and the bot needs permission to read the source and post to the destination. Choose source and destination channels with the same intended audience, and inspect a private preview before sharing recaps.

Can it send a private daily recap?

Yes. DM delivery is the default. Choose the source you want to follow and allow direct messages in this server so the bot can send your recap.

Can I receive a weekly digest instead?

Yes. Choose a weekday in the builder and the time you want. It reads the recent week within your plan’s message limit and the run’s credit cap. It uses the same schedule feature and plan limits as a daily recap.

What happens on a very busy or quiet day?

Each run has a credit cap. If the conversation is too large, the bot keeps the newest messages that fit within the cap. A quiet period with nothing to summarize produces no delivery. A recap is bounded coverage, so check the coverage shown in the result.

What if the server runs out of credits?

Without an overage API key, the schedule stops and explains why. Check /usage and /schedule list, add credits or change plans as needed, then use /schedule run to reactivate it. A saved overage key can fund further runs through your provider. A top-up adds credits but does not unlock schedules on a trial server.

Does it archive our conversations?

Message content is held in memory for the request and then discarded. The bot stores settings and usage information, not a transcript archive. Members can exclude their messages with the privacy controls.
